Senior SQL Developer

£70k - £80k DOE + Benefits + Bonus

WFH with 1 Day a Week in Office

As a trusted recruitment partner to one of the world's most trusted banking groups for more than nine years, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a permanent SQL Developer to work on financial reporting (P&L, Balance Sheet, UK Tax Calculations and VAT Reporting) within the EMEA Middle and Back Office department.

In this role you will provide BAU Support including the development of new financial technology functionality and reporting across EMEA. You will ensure that both VAT Reporting and P&L, Balance Sheet and other data is accurate and timely. You will work closely with teams including Regulatory Reporting, Finance and Treasury Finance.

Core Requirements

-Hands-on experience covering SQL Databases, SQL Server, T-SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, Query Optimisation and SQL Agent.

-Experience with VBA, Excel Macros and Access Macros highly desirable

-Ideally experience with C# .NET, HTML, CSS, JavaScript (but not essential)

-Prior financial / banking experience with an understanding of key financial reports such as P&L and Balance Sheet, and an appreciation of UK tax calculations and VAT reporting.

Hybrid Working Model: Our client offers an excellent work-life balance, and in this role you will spend the majority of your week working remotely from home, with one day a week spent in the EMEA HQ in London (EC2Y). Applications may be considered from those who require fully remote working, but the ability to be onsite one day a week is preferred.
