As IT Engineer (Web Hosting) you will be responsible for supporting the provision, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure within the Web Hosting environment both on premises and in the cloud. Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with a Global Insurance business to help support with the recruitment of a IT Engineer (Web Hosting).DescriptionWhat you'll be doing?As IT Engineer (Web Hosting) you will be responsible for supporting the provision, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure within the Web Hosting environment both on premises and in the cloud. Key Responsibilities:Ensure the global stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the systems and infrastructure that support departments. To monitor systems and ensure availability that corresponds to published Service level agreementsKnowledge of job role demonstrating application of technical skills and interpersonal competenciesProvide direct global technical leadership and support for all requirements in planning, coordination, scripting, and implementation of releases, upgrades, or changes to our distributed computing environment. This includes managing several small and medium scale projects and tasks of multiple complexities across the enterpriseProvide direct technical support for all requirements in the planning, coordination, scripting and implementation of upgrades or changes to our Web Hosting environments.Perform capacity planning, performance monitoring, tuning, and prediction.Provide high-level support for Web Hosting infrastructures including proper change management and assisting development teams in obtaining requirements and providing solutions.Some after-hours work will be requiredYou will participate in an after-hours, on-call rotation to assist with incident handling and troubleshooting Web Hosting infrastructure issuesProvide technical assistance/guidance development teams.Explain the technical effects of multiple alternative solutions to managementProfileKey Skills & Experience:Troubleshooting skillsService Oriented Individual5 or more years of experience installing and supporting Microsoft IIS Webservers.5 or more years of experience troubleshooting Web Environments. This includes a good understanding and hands-on use of tools such as Fiddler, Wireshark, Dynatrace3 or more years of experience managing IaaS and PaaS in Microsoft AzureWorking knowledge of load balances such as Avi, F5 LTM, Netscaler. Must understand the concepts of load balancing regardless of platform.Experience with PowerShell and PythonIn-depth knowledge of server technologies employed hardware, O/S, and related tools and applications.Advanced technical diagnostic and research skills.Identify and escalate issues to management to meet Service level agreement Requirements.Good knowledge of networking components such as TCP/IP protocols, DHCP and DNS technologies.Requires ability to correctly access risks of multiple alternatives and take appropriate actions to restore services in the event of system outages.Job OfferSalary: £30,000 - £50,000Fully remote working
