Ofgem works on behalf of energy consumers to ensure that every household and business in the UK can rely on a safe, affordable and environmentally sustainable energy supply. We are playing a vital part in accelerating the transition to Net Zero and a carbon neutral energy system - a goal that everyone wants to achieve. Whatever your role, you'll be playing your part in creating new energy solutions that are great for customers, and the environment.

We offer a diverse range of flexible working career opportunities: roles that are rewarding, where you can get involved in ground-breaking work. And it's important to us that we recruit from a wide range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.

Right now, we are in the midst of a significant transformation programme to embrace the full potential of digital and data in our work and support significant changes in the energy sector. It's a programme that touches on all aspects of how we operate, including: organisational design; learning and organisational development; centralised portfolio management; corporate governance; diversity and inclusion; systems and technology. You'll work closely with out Head of Transformation Delivery to ensure that effective and robust programme management tools underpin this change and take the lead in the day-to-day management of the programme. You'll be part of a multi-disciplinary programme team that includes strategy, operational delivery, project management and communications professionals, so it's a great platform to develop your skills working on significant corporate level change.

We expect that you'll already be working in a PMO function, within any sector, but should be at programme level. You'll be adept at using different programme/project management methods and be able to operate in both traditional and agile environments. It's likely that you hold a project management qualification and you'll need to have excellent communication and engagement skills - enabling you to present clear and updates and dashboards to different audiences (including at a senior level). It's important that you can quickly build positive working relationships with different stakeholders in order to win trust and confidence and that you bring a proactive, structured and outcomes-focused approach to your work.

Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of open and fair competition, merit and business need. This is a 12 Month FTC Opportunity.
