The overall purpose of the job is to ensure the proactive maintenance and support of the diverse range of systems that together create the Studio & Editing facilities based in Osterley and Millbank on which Sky's business depends. This is a key pillar of the Production Platforms Directorate.

What you'll do:

* Provide 1st class reactive and proactive support 24/7/365 as part of a shift team working a 7-day fortnight rotation * Take ownership of issues for the Support department. * Maintain documentation and knowledge-based, ensuring information is up to date and accurate. * Collaborate closely with shift colleagues and work with specialist team members closely in establishing root cause of ongoing issues

What you'll bring:

* Education to HND level in Broadcast Engineering, Media Technologies or equivalent. * An excellent understanding of the television signal chain from the camera glass and microphone to the television screen and speakers at home. Understanding of technical specification and recommendations specifically Sync Reference (Analog, Digital and PTP), SD and HD-SDI, UHD, AES and SMPTE 2022/2110 * Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, VLANs, Firewalls and Multicast networking * Excellent knowledge of the demands of a live broadcast environment
