Our Delivery & Schemes Directorate is our delivery arm and manages a number of high-profile environmental programmes. It's a fast-paced and dynamic place to work, and you can expect to be involved in ground-breaking work. Our flexible working career opportunities are incredibly varied, so we are committed to recruiting talented people from a diverse range of professional and personal backgrounds - bringing different perspectives and experiences to our work.

This is an essential role in supporting our renewable energy schemes through effective and insightful analysis of performance data. You will work with large and complex datasets, using statistical techniques to identify areas of risk and spot trends or issues. You'll work closely with our audit and compliance teams, helping them to identify targets for audit selection. Working with analytics/statistical techniques and predictive analytics models you'll produce accessible reports, dashboards and data visualisations that are easy to interpret and inform effective decision-making. As well as working on a series of regular reports, you will also respond to ad hoc requests on bespoke reports, and work with the team to enhance our reporting capacity, including opportunities for automation of reporting.

You should already have experience of gathering and analysing data to identify trends and be able to select and use appropriate statistical methods for sampling and distribution assessment, building in safeguards to remove bias and error. You should be able to use a variety of business tools such as Power BI, PowerPoint and Excel to create visually compelling and accessible reports. And you should be able to work well with others - working with different stakeholders to understand their needs and make recommendations on opportunities to improve business reporting.

Ofgem is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We embrace diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. All employment is decided on the basis of open and fair competition, merit and business need.
