We provide expertise to the NHS on resolving concerns and disputes fairly, sharing learning for improvement and preserving resources for patient care. We are currently going through an exciting IT transformation led by the organisation's Chief Information Officer. The Digital, Data and Technology Directorate, (DDaT) is an exciting high performing function with a challenging programme of work and a department structure aimed at progression, development and high operational and strategic outputs. As a result we are looking for talented DDaT professionals to join us on this journey.DescriptionWorking with supplier to oversee the entire testing life-cycle for the Core Services Programme (CSP) covering the development cycles and implementationEnsuring quality system changes and successful project deliveryEnsuring that efficient testing is delivered to the agreed quality standards;Working with supplier to produce testing documentation, information and reporting;Leading NHS Resolution's testing regime including planning, resourcing and implementation.Helping to develop testing capabilities across the organisation ensuring we meet best practice standards;Bringing together resources from across NHS Resolution and our integration partners to ensure the delivery of quality assured outputs; andEnsuring integration partners are committed and able to meet our internal quality standards.Work with the integration partners to ensure that releases between the environments used in the CSP are managed and regulatedManage access to the environments used in the CSP from an NHSR perspectiveWork with the Release workstream to plan and deliver release packages in line with the main planProfileKnowledge of a range of specific project areas, acquired through post graduate diploma or equivalent experience, plus further specialist test management knowledge to master's level equivalent or equivalent experience Relevant test qualification - e.g. ISTQB certification Familiarity with established project management methodology e.g. PRINCE2, Agile Highly developed analytical and problem solving skills, with a track record of confidently and competently dealing with highly complex issues involving risk and unclear/incomplete/conflicting information Making decisions at the appropriate time, taking into account the needs of the situation, priorities, constraints and the availability of necessary information. A proven track record in software testing Ability to manage and deploy resources effectively Full understanding of a variety of test analysis techniques and their implementation Good knowledge of BDD, TDD, and automation tool sets and different test process and methodologies Defining a test strategy including test approach, test data management and different environments. Be able to demonstrate a full understanding of the test management life cycle Functional test planning, preparation and execution including experience of test designtechniques. Managing and executing non-functional tests such as load testing, penetration testing and UI testing. Effectively leading, managing and overseeing a distributed team of testers and other corporate resource.
