This role is responsible for implementing IP solutions for customers onto their global network. They will work with a wide variety of the IP products and solutions. They create configuration templates for new customer designs and changes, configure new LVC's and remove disconnected LVC's, updating appropriate databases. They work closely with the IP Desk and Ops Centre on all implementations providing accurate and complete customer diagrams and information to ensure proper handover. They will assist the NOC with any questions or issues that may arise. The team is responsible for preparing the configuration templates for cutovers, dual router conversions and design changes and making sure that they completed as expected. They are responsible for ensuring that customer devices such as CPE and network routers and switches are working properly before making them operational on the network.

Responsibilities

- Work with multiple internal teams and external customers

- Support all of the Sales divisions globally

- Represent the team at customer meetings and making sure that the solution can be implemented and supported. These may include HA implementation, Public Cloud on-boarding, hardware replacements, Transit VPC(AWS), Extranet/overlay connectivity testing, migrate service from Data Centres, Implement IaaS, Multi-tenant services and pilot features in new products and related workflows

- Work under limited supervision and demonstrate the ability to use independent judgment

- Configure equipment and understand the network, equipment and products

- Develop LLD and HLD and finalise deliverables from technical proposals

- Schedule change, template, verify and push implementation to the PE/CE Edge infrastructure

- Provide post implementation checks and also provide Operational support documents for NOC

- Work with the Infrastructure Engineering team to discuss any issues with standards

- Use Automation as main method of delivering BAU projects and integrate with internal systems

- Implement QoS at the customer and Provider edge - HQF policing, WRED, rate limiting

Experience

- Experience working in a mission critical IP network support role

- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements and priorities

- Comfortable working on complex projects and network setups

- Able to make technical decisions on network designs and routing

- Able to provide advanced technical leadership and guidance to team members as well as internal and external customers

- In-depth knowledge on a variety of planning and operational concepts, practices, policies, and procedures

- Excellent communication and Customer Service skills

- Understanding of Cisco IOS and Juniper JUNOS hardware

- Routing protocol knowledge (BGP, EIGRP, HSRP, RIP, OSPF, and MPLS)

- Working knowledge of Multicast

- CCNA and/or equivalent experience

- Understanding of various LAN/WAN requirements

- Understanding of Network Address Translation

- Strong troubleshooting/fault-finding skills
