This role will drive and operationalise core data governance competencies including data mapping, modelling and delivery and a central Business Data Glossary, data quality and measurement, search, lineage and metadata management, master data management and data sharing, security and privacy. As one of the first members of the Data Office you will be able to influence and shape JLR Data Strategy. Data Strategy and Data Governance are fast evolving topics. Were not looking for someone with all the answers on these topics. No one has that. Were looking to assemble a diverse team with experience in data that will shape data at JLR and who is keen to keep learning and adapting as the technologies in this area continue to evolve.

WHAT YOULL NEED

As a Data Governance Specialist, you will need an excellent level of ability to structure, analyse/ interpret data - ideally having had previous experience working with an architecting data in GCP. You should possess a high level of IT literacy and the desire to continue to learn new data tools and skills.

A successful candidate will have a solid knowledge of supporting end-to-end business processes and underlying data - being able to show their proven track record of translating business requirements and needs into prioritised data requirements.
