As 2nd Line Support Engineer Engineer you will work closely with service desk technicians as a technical escalation contact to ensure the swift resolution of incidents.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnered with a multi-award winning building consultancy based in Huddersfield to help support with the recruitment of a 2nd Line Support Technician.DescriptionWhat you'll be doing?As 2nd Line Support Engineer Engineer you will work closely with service desk technicians as a technical escalation contact to ensure the swift resolution of incidents.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall/Manage software and patches across servers ensuring that all security patches are applied.Monitor & Manage System Backups and ReplicationOverlook the service desk tickets and assist where neededAnswer any incoming service desk calls to assist the team (when needed)Service desk shift cover if one of the team are awayLiaise with 3rd party vendors to resolve any issuesMaintain and develop SCCM Maintain and improve hardware/software roll-out processesNetwork maintenanceEscalate further when needed to the IT Service Desk manager, IT Director or 3rd party vendorsMust be willing to work overtime and weekends if a project requires itPerform other duties as required by the IT Service Desk ManagerProfileKey Skills & ExperienceWindows ServerMicrosoft Exchange 2013 / Exchange OnlineMicrosoft Office 2013/2016/365SCCM Deployment & MaintenancePC/ Laptop hardwarePrinter hardwareMobile/ Smartphones/TabletsMicrosoft Active DirectoryIntune (or any other MDM System)Backup/Restore Systems (ideally Veeam)Strong networking capabilities (DNS, routing, switching etc)File and directory permissionsVirtual Desktops (ideally Citrix)VoIP knowledge (ideally Cisco)Job OfferSalary:£25,000 - £28,000Benefits:23 days holiday plus Bank Holidays, increasing to 27 days, which is service relatedDiscretionary Bonus SchemeLife Assurance SchemeHealth Cash Plan and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)Health & Wellbeing PlatformLong Service AwardsRefer a friend scheme
