Backend Web Developer Kingston / WfH to £75k

Backend Web Developer / Full Stack Engineer (JavaScript Node.js API GraphQL) *Hybrid WfH*. Would like to progress your career working with a modern tech stack? You could be joining a global travel company that has continued to invest in technology throughout the past year and is in a good position for continued growth.

As a Backend Web Developer you will you will design and develop new features and enhancements to the in-house built platform that integrates in real-time with a number of 3rd party flight and hotel booking systems and will be rolled out across the company's group of websites worldwide. You'll remain hands-on working with JavaScript, Node.js and GraphQL whilst taking a lead role and providing direction and technical leadership to the team.

There's currently a remote interview and onboarding process as well as the ability to work from home; in the coming months you'll join colleagues in Kingston-upon-Thames for 2-3 days a week with continued flexibility to work from home.

Requirements:

You have strong experience with Vanilla JavaScript and developing large scale Node applications in production

You have experience of developing APIs, ideally with GraphQL

You have a good knowledge of architectural Design Patterns and microservices

Ideally you will have some experience with TypeScript, React, Redux, CI/CD, TeamCity, Jenkins

You're collaborative and pragmatic, happy to provide leadership and mentoring
