ROLE - Information Security EngineerLOCATION - West Berkshire
SALARY - £45,000 - £60,000
We have an exciting opportunity available after partnering with a globally leading security partner based in West Berkshire who are actively recruiting for an Information Security Engineer to join their growing MSO team.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering a salary of up to £60,000 + an enhanced benefits package.
The organisation possesses a very long and successful history in their sector, providing multiple market leading solutions and have partnered with some of the globes largest brands. They have been incredibly successful, by their own standards over the last 5 years.
The Information Security Engineer is responsible for:
Participating in the design, development, configuration, operation and maintenance of deployed security toolsMonitoring security events, providing support analysisAssisting with security sensor tuning effortsDeveloping, maintaining and integrating a threat intelligence programme into the SOCManaging next-gen firewall (NGFW) appliance capabilitiesGenerating reports and trend analysis for stakeholdersManage remediation of technical vulnerabilitiesCarrying out routing review of system security logs, identifying trends, weaknesses and other security events
The ability to obtain security clearance at SC Clearance as a minimum is essential for this position.
Previous experience with application support, datacentre support would be ideal for this role. Any qualifications in cyber security would be beneficial for this position.
Experience needed for the Information Security Engineer:
3 years minimum of Information Security experienceExperience and understanding of security analysis tools, defensive and other related technology too (SIEM, VASm IDS/IPS, Firewalls, IAM, patch management etc)Familiarty with PKI, PKI components and functionsKnowledge of security industry standard frameworks such as ISO2700, NIST 800-83, Cyber Essentials, OWASPNetwork device, Linux and Windows systems administration experience.
