Design Manager (Telecoms)

Remote, can be based nationwide (Offices located in Glasgow, Manchester and Reading)

£50-60k + Expenses + Health & Medical Insurance + Benefits

This is an excellent opportunity to join a rapidly expanding business, in a senior role managing the design team in mobile telecommunications. You will have the opportunity to work on high profile telecoms projects rolling out 5G, emergency services, and rail.

Do you have experience within mobile telecoms? are you seeking the chance to lead and manage a design team on some large scale nationwide projects?

The business has the vision to assist the rollout of 5G, working with some of the industries most prestigious players. They provide an end-to-end service of land acquisition, planning and building to the highest quality standards; covering both new build and upgrades in both rural and urban landscapes. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a lead design role that's had some experience managing teams. You will be able to get the most out of the internal design team and outsourced subcontractors.

The Role:

*Effectively lead and manage the internal design team and external contractors to achieve deliverables

*Working knowledge of Health & Safety

*Analyse, report on and make recommendations to mitigate unnecessary design revisions & improve the efficiency of the projects' design resources

*Experience in construction of civil and structural works, promoting design buildability & cost control amongst design team

The Person:

*Previous experience within a similar role e.g. Design Manager or Senior Design Engineer within the mobile telecommunications industry

*Relevant engineering qualification or related discipline

*Driving license
