We are looking for a Product Manager (Messaging and New Ventures) to join us on a permanent basis in our Jersey office, or alternatively working remotely in the UK.

This role will see you take product ownership of our growing SMS Messaging business, and provide product support for the new technology ventures being developed through the emerging JT International "Incubator".

You will be an expert on the Messaging market, pulling understanding and opinion from internal and external sources to provide strategic input and guidance. Your knowledge, experience and effort will help define, deliver and manage the products that will differentiate and grow JT's portfolio in a highly competitive market. Experience in nurturing new technologies from concept through to a fully validated investment proposition will also be beneficial.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys owning end-to-end definition and delivery, and seeing the tangible output of their effort. You will work closely with the Sales team to commercially qualify new propositions, and the Operations, Delivery and Finance teams to bring concepts to life. The ability to work autonomously and manage/influence stakeholders and complex teams remotely is essential.

Key Responsibilities  Review of the existing Messaging product portfolio and in-flight delivery projects to ensure that the correct governance, support, etc, processes are in-place  Continual assessment of market activity, competitor landscape, and emerging trends and technologies; distribution of information to relevant audiences and recommendation of future strategies  Build the Messaging product roadmap - meeting future demand; service evolution; technology requirements; partnership opportunities and sourcing  Provision of product support for technology initiatives moving through the new venture "Incubator" - driving JT's appeal and effectiveness as a hothouse for new talent and technologies, and ensuring "fail-fast" evaluation of new initiatives  Creation of business cases for new initiatives to balance commercial opportunity against delivery cost and complexity. Work with key Commercial and Technology stakeholders to provide a balanced view of priorities  Clear product and proposition definition (requirements; user journeys; solution framework for enterprise/partners)  Operation with the Technology and partner teams to ensure delivery of the product roadmap within governance frameworks  Management of the end-to-end product lifecycle, with ownership of in-life performance against KPIs, incremental development and reporting  Ownership of all product marketing activity (collateral; go-to-market; channel and partner enablement) and operation with the appropriate Product and channel teams to define requirements and ensure production  Support the Commercial teams to assess new customer-lead demand (including participation in external meetings)
Skills Knowledge and Expertise  Strong background in mobile and/or new technology with an understanding of the Mobile Network Operator ecosystem  Demonstrable technical and market knowledge of SMS Messaging technologies and experience in launching these products into enterprise markets  Proven track record of launching technology products and services within new and emerging markets  Experience of assessing market landscape and the definition of future product strategy to support growth and ensure competitor advantage  Understanding of data sensitivity and legislative requirements  Commercial acumen and the ability to support sales people at external meetings   Internal and external stakeholder relationship management, and the ability to provide clear and concise communications to all levels of the business
