As a long established approved fintech recruitment partner to this global banking group, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a contract Windows Server Engineer to assist in managing, maintaining, enhancing Microsoft Windows Server related technologies across the estate. You will be involved in both project work and BAU and the implementation of automated solutions.
Key Skills / Environment
*Microsoft Windows Server 2k8 / 2k12 / 2k16 / 2k19 related technologies
*PowerShell
*CI/CD pipelines and other automation concepts
*DevOps mentality
*Git or other source code control software
*Security hardening principles in line with CIS industry benchmarks.
*Excellent knowledge of networking, storage, database and virtualization layers.
*Clustering and high-availability technologies
*Replication and disaster recovery.
*Security and auditing.
*Excellent knowledge of data security governance and regulations
*TCP/IP Networking Protocols.
Highly desirable:
1.Other scripting languages (batch, VBS, VBA & Python nice to haves).
2.Ansible
3.AWX / Ansible Tower
4.REST API integration
5.Service Now automation /integration
6.Good working knowledge of GitHub, Subversion and TeamCity / similar tools
7.CyberArk
8.Splunk and QRadar
9.Qualys
10.System Center implementation and management
11.Understanding of DNS
12.Nutanix HCI.
13.EMC and HDS storage arrays.
14.EMC Networker, Data Domain and IBM Tivoli Storage Manager.
Desirable:
1.ESX VMWare
2.IBM Tivoli and Netcool
3.Active Directory, LDAP and Kerberos
4.BMC Control-M
5.SharePoint, JIRA and Confluence.
6.Working knowledge of cloud computing
The position would be suitable for those with experience as a Windows Server Engineer, Windows Server Analyst, Windows Infrastructure Engineer, 3rd line Engineer, 4th line Engineer
*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is offered on a PAYE basis (via an umbrella company). The day rate is budgeted up to £586.50 and this is the total amount we would pay your nominated umbrella. It is inclusive of holiday accrual and employer pension contributions. All statutory deductions (both Employers and Employee NI, Income Tax, Apprenticeship Levy, etc.) will be deducted from this figure.
