We're looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to join our Technology Data Insight team. You'll be working alongside a highly motivated team, reporting to the Senior Manager-Data Engineering. You will lead a cross-functional engineering team, using Agile approach to drive data deliveries.Client DetailsWith our head office in Leeds, we are one of the UK's largest retail company's and we are currently going through a major growth & expansion phase, we have plans to grow our Data insight & Analytics team by over 25% in the coming months. This is an excellent opportunity for a Data Insight and Analytics Technical Delivery Manager to come into the company and be apart of our data journey. DescriptionAs the Data Insight and Analytics Technical Delivery Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to:Providing technical advice and line management for colleagues in the teamResponsible for the delivery of development activity on assigned projects; managing the workload of a team of Developers and TestersOwning and managing the development team plan. Overall responsibility for creating and keeping the development plan up to date and accurate - e.g. on Jira, Excel, Microsoft ProjectRunning daily development team calls - chairing, keeping the team on track, updating the plan in meetingsEnsuring sprint process is followed - stand ups, sprint planning, sizing, retrospectives etcEnsuring the development teams resources are creating and maintaining the required artefacts (e.g. requirements, design, data source documents etc)Ensuring the development team are all aware of the design and that the design is being shared (coordinating regular design catch ups). Ensure best practice within the teamProfileThe successful Data Insight and Analytics Technical Delivery Manager will have a background in:Data development or engineeringProficient in SQL codingHave a good understanding of Microsoft Azure tooling, preferably with hands on exposureKnowledge of Python advantageousKnowledge of a collection of Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, Lean etc.Managing teams to deliver quickly and accuratelyUsing Agile tools to inform and provide feedbackAbility to think out of the box with a can-do attitude to get things done efficientlyExcellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts in plain EnglishYou will be proactive, resilient with strong leadership skillsJob Offer Once you're here, the development opportunities are as endless as your commitment to your self-development and we will support you every step of the way to help further your career.
