DescriptionThe role will Be the voice of our product strategy, internally and externally, with strong influencing skills to effectively engage all key stakeholders to build trust and gain proactive support for the ongoing development of our core products. Provide strong direction and management of the Product Owner team, guiding and delivering new products, product enhancement and ongoing challenge to the overall business to deliver the requirements of the transformation strategy including during the transitional phase. Deliver the Product Ownership methodology to organisation and ensure new ways of working and delivery are embedded in the Business Systems Team and communicated to the wider organisation.Key Accountabilities 1. Accountable for developing and driving the product vision for organisation and participating in strategic decisions with the senior leadership team to gain support and commitment for the changes.2. Accountable for the holistic technical vision and development of core products for housing management, customer service, property management, care management, HR and Finance.3. Accountable for developing and maintaining the holistic product roadmap, reporting on status to senior management and making sure that products are delivered on time, to scope and to budget through agile iteration cycles.4. Work collaboratively with the Head of Business Systems to introduce and embed Agile methodology and ways of working to ensure we are releasing value early to the business.7. Spot opportunities to continually improve by dynamically assessing product development sprints and enhancement opportunities.8. Drive innovative ideas, solutions and products through leadership and decisive action.9. Oversee the Product Owners in defining product requirements and work closely with our IT development and architecture teams and external suppliers to build, design and launch features against a timely schedule.10. Scan the horizon for new developments and tech advancements, and keeping up to date with ideas that could be applicable to organisation business activities . Advocate for consumer initiatives as well as enhance the user experience and design.11. Set up and embed Product Owners into the Business Systems ways of working, lead a professional and efficient group of Product Owners using agile and waterfall methodology to deliver a high performing team.12. Leading the Product Owner team constantly educate the wider business on the benefits and advantages and ensure all stakeholders are brought on the journey of constant improvement.13. Provide guidance and management of the Product Owners to ensure professional, timely and delivery focussed outputs to the business.14. Work closely with other Business Systems managers to ensure all resources and priorities are managed and met.15. Provide expert troubleshooting capacity to provide detailed guidance and assistance to Product owners.16. Support Product Owners and if required act as a point of escalation for disputes on priorities and strategic requirements.17. Understand the legacy systems to ensure the Product Owners are instrumental in assisting during the transitional delivery phase while ensuring the current systems are maintained.18. Ensure all team deliverables meet requirements of Transform21 and the data strategy across the Business Systems Team.19. Collaboratively work with the Portfolio manager and Development manager to prioritise backlog of product enhancements as well as new product development.ProfileKnowledge and Experience ?Proven experience leading a high performing product owner team Essential Proven experience of working with senior stakeholders High level of IT skills - experience of using Visio and MS Project or equivalent DesirableExperience of working within a digital product delivery environment Essential Date Choose an item.
