As a Barclays Infrastructure Delivery Manager you will be responsible for full lifecycle delivery of infrastructure projects, or of work stream within a major business change programme, operating in accordance with the mandated Project Management methodology and tools. You will have overall responsibility for the quality of the deliverables, financial management, and the timeliness of completion of the delivery activities. What will you be doing?You will manage small/ medium infrastructure projects or work streams of large programmes as per agreed scope within time, cost and quality as per latest build standards
Managing projects to ensure that the Infrastructure risks are proactively managed and infrastructure deliverables are off the overall programme critical path
You will be responsible for provisioning of new infrastructure, base builds, configuration changes, integration builds, DevOps tools for automated deployments etc.
Liaising with individual component teams with in Infrastructure services (GTIS) team to ensure that the builds are completed as per Barclays standards
Ensuring effective Stakeholder Management, Communication management, Risk management etc. adhering to all mandated project delivery processes and governance
Providing the required testing support to address and triage the infrastructure issue
Identify activities and resources required to deliver the project or work stream, and the creation or maintenance of the associated delivery plans and tracking them to delivery
Production of cost estimates for delivery to the level of precision required at each stage of the delivery What we're looking for:
Competency in delivery methods and disciplines (e.g. Waterfall, Agile etc.) including key Infrastructure design and components
Estimating techniques, Project planning tools (e.g. MS Project) and financial control requirements and practices (basic level)
Working knowledge of relevant technologies - Unix, Linux, Windows, Networking, Firewalls, WAS, Oracle, MQ, CD
Proven in successful IT infrastructure project delivery and IT change management in small/ medium projects Skills that will help you in the role:
Background in infrastructure delivery
Financial services experience
Relevant project management qualifications (e.g. PMI or Prince qualified)
Knowledge of ITIL disciplines Where will you be working?
