Application Security Software Engineer London / WfH to £85k

Application Security Software Engineer *Hybrid WfH*. Do you have a background with Java or PHP software development but are now more Security focussed? You could be progressing your career in a senior hands-on role, working on a modern microservices tech stack with continual learning and self development opportunities at a global FinTech.

As an Application Security Software Engineer you will collaborate with a small dedicated team to improve the security posture with a focus on application security, ensuring clean, secure code is delivered across software development teams. You'll specify security requirements, review software code and configurations, manage penetration testing and remediation, perform application security testing and mitigate application vulnerabilities, working closely with software engineers and acting as an Application Security SME.

There's a remote interview process, following that you'll join colleagues in the London office 1 day a week from January with the other 4 days work from home if desired.

Requirements:

You have a background with Java or PHP software development and a thorough understanding of the full software development lifecycle

You're able to provide constructive feedback on application security design, architecture and software code

You're a technologist with a good working knowledge of most of the following technologies: Jenkins, Bamboo, Bitbucket, Cloudflare, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, Burpsuite, Kali Linux, SumoLogic, AWS and/or AliCloud

You have experience of working in a regulated environment

You're collaborative and pragmatic with advanced communication skills
