Lead Desktop Support Engineer - 2nd / 3rd Line SupportOverview:
A market leading Financial requires a Lead Desktop / 2nd / 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team. The purpose of this role is to provide support to our London office assisting with hardware and software problems via phone, email and in person and have the ability to lead projects.
Role & Responsibilities:
Provide senior 2nd line technical support leasing with 3rd line team working to root cause analysis is common issues
Lead Desktop related projects
Maintain a high degree of customer service for all support queries and adhere to all service management principles
Take ownership of user problems, pro-active when dealing with user issues
Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems
Support users in the use of computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice
Essential Skills & Experience:
Detailed Lead Desktop support skills and experience
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Active Directory and Group Policy
Microsoft Exchange
Citrix
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft based operating systems (XP/Win7) and MS Office (2010/13)
TCP/IP experience and basic networking
Full understanding of PC hardware set-up and configuration
Hands on' approach and a willingness to learn
Flexible, pro-active approach as a proven self-starter
Team player who can work under guidelines to complete tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work on individual projects against set targets
Desirable:
Experience/understanding of Sage
Package:
£45k basic Salary.
