Project Engineer (Sustainable Heating)

This company has over 20,000 employees worldwide and are expanding within the UK through major contracts and projects involving things such as offshore wind farms and heat networks. In line with their growth they are looking for an experienced Project Engineer who is capable of supporting new and existing projects.

In this role you will be responsible for producing engineering briefs/designs, supporting project managers in delivering projects from inception to completion, working with procurement functions during tendering processes and working with commercial functions to provide techno-economic solutions and strategies throughout projects.

The ideal candidate will be qualified to Degree level in an Engineering discipline and will have 5+ years' experience in a hands-on project engineering role where they have been involved in all stages of delivering projects. Experience in District Heating/Heat Networks will be highly advantageous, although a more general background in Energy, Heating or Oil & Gas will be considered.

The role:

* Producing engineering designs, drawings and briefs

* Working with Commercial/Business Development team to produce strategies and solutions

* Working closely alongside Project Managers to provide support throughout project delivery

* Supporting Procurement team during tender/bidding phase of projects and managing third parties

* Ensuring compliance throughout projects such as with engineering design, HSE regulations etc.

The person

* Educated to Degree level in an Engineering discipline

* Minimum 5 years' experience in a project/process engineering role

* Background in district heating, heat networks, HVAC, Oil & Gas or Energy

* Demonstrable experience of engineering design for high value projects

* Experience working with multiple teams involved in projects e.g commercial, procurement etc.

* Full UK driving license
