My client - an international bank in the Banking industry is looking for a Front End Developer - JavaScript / HTML5 / C# to join their site in London, to work as part of the PnL Explain development team, covering applications including a large-scale data warehouse for Risk and PnL data as well as a web-based application for Front Office reporting and sign-off. Client DetailsMy client is an international Bank operating in the Financial Services industry with offices in London.DescriptionThe successful candidate for the Front End Developer - JavaScript / HTML5 / C# contract at my banking client's site in London, will fulfil the following: Participate in all areas of the Agile Scrum life cycle, including: Working with users to define user storiesDeveloping well-structured code, including unit tests where appropriateParticipating in Code Reviews and Testing code before release to production3rd line supportTake ownership of specific projects related to any of the applications managed by the team.Help to implement and maintain a DevOps pipeline for the systems belonging to the team, including continuous build and deployment as well as proper artefact management.Work on improving the software engineering process by implementing modern patterns for code management and review.Mentoring other team members on software engineering and development best practices and helping to improve the knowledge of the entire team.Help to re-factor the existing code-base where appropriate to improve maintenance and or performance of the existing platformProfileTo be considered for the Front End Developer - JavaScript / HTML5 / C# 6-month contract role in the Banking industry, the candidate must present evidence of the following: Substantial previous software engineering and development work and a track record of designing and implementing complex software systemsExpert knowledge of HTML5 and CSS3, JavaScript and TypeScriptProficient in either Angular or ReactKnowledge of how to optimise the application for the webKnowledge of security and prevention measuresResponsive/mobile designCSS pre-processors - LESS, SASSGood level knowledge of C# / .NET Framework, with knowledge of programming patterns and developing in a multi-threaded environmentStrong communication skillsExcellent problem-solving skillsJob OfferThe day rate for this contract role is between 600 and 650 - per day INSIDE IR35Minimum 6-month contract with potential for extensionOpportunity for Hybrid working
