Our reward package
The Met Office is recruiting for Entry Level IT Technicians based at our Exeter HQ with hybrid/ remote working.
Your total reward package is potentially worth up to £29,887 annually, which includes basic salary, potential corporate bonus and employer pension contributions.
Your starting salary will be £20655.00 with opportunities to progress to £22201.00 over time. New joiners to the Met Office will start on the salary band minima.

What we are looking for - Our Essential Criteria
Technical Skills: Enthusiasm for IT, with demonstrable ability in at least one of the following technical domains
Microsoft Windows
PC Infrastructure
Good knowledge of hardware and software installation and support
Mobile device management
Problem Solving: Fast learner with an aptitude for quickly understanding and solving technical problems. Knows when to seek help if no progress is being made
Enthusiasm: Driven, enthusiastic and delivery focused.
Communication and Collaboration: Good communication skills are a must as this is a customer facing role at times.
Desirable Criteria

We operate an on-call roster in Technology to provide 24/7/365 support to respond to operational service requirements. This post may be part of an on-call roster and the postholder would be required to participate in an on-call roster where in operation.
