OnBuy have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Front-end Developer to join the team.

Location: Fully Remote or Office/Hybrid based in Bournemouth

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time/Monday - Friday (+Open to Flexible Working)

The Role of Senior Front-end Developer:

As a Senior Front-End Developer with OnBuy, your role will include working with a team of like-minded developers to maintain and extend the various OnBuy web portals, including the main OnBuy.com website. You will have knowledge and/or experience of providing customised front-end development for eCommerce or stock systems, and you will be able to make recommendations regarding the best suited front-end framework(s) for OnBuy to implement.

Key Responsibilities of Senior Front-end Developer:

You will be working on our tech stack which currently includes:

- MySQL

- NoSQL - Solr, Couchbase or MongoDB

- In-memory datastores - Redis

- RESTful APIs

- RabbitMQ

Your skills and experience:

To be successful, we would expect you to have:

- Degree level in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent commercial experience

- Strong knowledge and experience of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery

- Good PHP knowledge and experience

- Experience working commercially with a front-end framework, such as Vue.js, React or Angular

- Ability to write clean, well-designed, easily maintainable code that follows SOLID and DRY principals

- Mentoring less experienced developers

- Workload prioritisation, along with setting and communicating delivery expectations

- Architecting software solutions

- Agile software development (desirable)
