If so, we might have just the job for you.

East Sussex County Council is at the heart of delivering a broad range of vital services to the residents of East Sussex, supporting economic growth and helping our vibrant communities and surrounding environment to thrive.

In this role you'll join our Workforce Data and Analytics Team as a Workforce Analytics Adviser. This is a small team with big responsibilities for delivering all things people data and HR systems related to customers right across the Council.

Your day-to-day role will give you the chance to contribute your experience to the team and indulge your love of data and analysis by doing things like maintaining people structures in our HR information system and producing data dashboards and management information reports for diverse audiences which are used to help inform real evidence based decision-making right across the Council.

You'll have a natural eye for detail, good interpersonal skills and enjoy working within a data led discipline. With your strong IT skills (particularly Excel) you'll be comfortable working with numbers and be confident deploying your analytical abilities or exploiting IT solutions to complete tasks or solve problems. What makes you stand out is your ability to present data in an accessible and engaging way for all audiences, including those who are not data experts.

The Workforce Data and Analytics team is part of our wider HR and Organisational Development (HROD) service, and this is an exciting time to join us. The HROD service has played a vital role in helping the Council meet the challenges of the pandemic and we will continue to play a big part in supporting organisational change as we move through recovery and into new ways of working in future.

We pride ourselves on being a modern, forward-thinking service with a great reputation. We set ourselves high standards and support each other to meet them. Our team spirit is second to none - it's one of our greatest assets.

If that sounds like an environment in which you would thrive then we'd love to hear from you.

In addition to opportunities to grow your career within our large and varied workforce, we offer a diverse range of benefits to help and support you during your employment, which include a wide selection of discounts with high street retailers, holiday companies and more, access to financial wellbeing resources and products, a salary sacrifice bike scheme, loans for certain purposes at preferential rates and the choice to be a member of the attractive Local Government Pension Scheme, as well as a generous leave entitlement, additional leave purchase scheme, flexible working and a commitment to your professional development.
