Senior Software Architect

UK Remote

£75,000 - £80,000 + Healthcare + Life Assurance 3x salary + Pension Scheme + 25 days holiday (plus 8 days bank holiday) + Income protection/Sickness payExcellent opportunity for a Senior Software Architect to join a cutting edge and market leading maritime technology specialist offering autonomy and progression in a varied and senior position.This globally recognised Marine Engineering company provide specialist infrastructure and technology services and are listed on the UK stock market. They are growing exponentially and are looking to make several hires into the systems architecture team.In this role you will report to the Lead Architect working with a range of interdisciplinary teams to support and develop the core application platform. You will consider all aspects of the complete system ensuring reliability and robustness. You will be leading architectural decisions for tools and techniques, understanding the current architecture as it exists and for the future and delivering the product roadmap.The ideal candidate will have commercial experience in Software Architecture and have a solid understanding of how Large-Scale infrastructures, systems, applications and distributed databases work together. You will have a practical knowledge of software architecture and know how to assess effort, risk and complexity for software solutions.This is a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Software Architect to make key technical decisions and shape the future of the business in a leading Maritime Technology and Surveillance company utilising cutting edge technology.

The Role:

*Working with the Lead Architect to ensure the software architecture aligns with the overall solution architecture direction

*Recommending Tools, Techniques and best practise

*Interacting with other System Architects, Product Managers, Lead Developers, test teams to ensure quality product

*Remote working (need to travel to the Cardiff head office 1x a month for meetings)

The Person:

*Commercial experience in a Software Architecture position or similar

*Experience with Cyber-Security strategies and implementation

*Deep technical knowledge of software architecture

*Bachelor's Degree in mathematics, Scientific, Computing or Engineering or similar

*Experience with Java, JavaScript or Type Script would be advantageous
