Public Health Project Manager

Rate £350 per day per on a 3 month rolling contract 5 day per week / 35-hour week 9am - 5pm with remote working.

The Project:
A mutli-million corporation is seeking a Public Health Project Manager with strong capabilities in COVID response within a Public Health Team. As a key part of the Public Health Team the post holder will be expected to work across a number of strategically important programmes, initially focussing on the delivery of projects related to the COVID-19 response.

The post holder will have expert knowledge across a number of areas linked to the public health agenda e.g. COVID-19 testing approaches, infection prevention and control community development and be able to develop and maintain strategic and operational partnerships with internal and external stakeholders that contribute to the COVID-19 response. The post holder will also be expected to analyse data, write reports for senior decision making boards, carry out research, represent the Council, influence stakeholders and partners and support the delivery and management of Public Health strategies and plans.

To develop Public Health projects onCOVID-19 topics, providing expertise to inform our local response to policy issues.
Design and Implement best practice programmes around the COVID response agenda, particularly those related to approaches to testing e.g. lateral flow testing.
To represent the Public Health team on liaison and multidisciplinary working groups both within the council and outside (such as with South West London Clinical Commissioning Group) and ensure proper liaison with all interested parties on issues including the public, elected members and other sections within the council and other local authorities.

Essential Experience:
BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification in a Public Health related discipline or in a subject linked to the wider determinants of health
Knowledge of the issues relating to public health, particularly those related to the COVID-19 response.
Knowledge and understanding of the Infection Prevention and Control.
Experience in developing or managing projects related to the field of Public Health.

Rate £300 per day per on a 3-month rolling contract 5 day per week / 35-hour week 9am - 5pm with remote working.
