AWS/Linux automation engineer Key Data:ASAP6 months (+possible extension)Full remoteEnglish only Task:Build custom and hardened Amazon Machine Images and responsible for systems functionality, performance and configuration issues.Configure platform agents and introduce system automation to perform Unit, Functional, Compliance and Performance testsAdministration of Linux servers, Virtual Machines and Networks using automated configuration management tools (Bare-metal, private data-centre and Cloud)Ability to automate manual tasks with scripts and other toolsProcess automation Must havesExperienced in Debian or/and Redhat (7-8 Years)Solid understanding of Unix/Linux systemsKnowledge in: Ubuntu, Amazon Linux, CentOS (nice to have)Ability to analyse performance issuesKnowHow in Network, Terminal and System configurationExperience in Testing OS Nice to haves:KnowHow in CI/CDGood understanding of AWSAMI Builder tools and OS testing frameworks (ansible, packer, inspec) / RPM and DEB packaging systemsInfrastructure-as-Code and related toolsExperience with Microservices and Event-driven architectures (producers, consumers, event-channels) Soft Skills: Communication: It mostly applies to 1:1 communication with product teams by supporting them with clarification and regarding problems that affect internal products (AMIs), AWS Accounts or 3rd party tools/services (CloudFlare, Dome9, .. ).Collaboration: Reach out to colleagues while facing problems and documenting the findings once the issue gets addressed. Open to collaborate, great attitude and positive mindset.Problem Solving: Ability to analyse problems and deep dive into internal documentation or source code.
