As a Barclays Senior DevOps Automation Engineer, you will work in the Risk, Finance and Treasury area. You will support the effective and cost-efficient execution of Risk, Finance and Treasury functions through the provision of world class technology, change, data and information. What you'll be doing?
Acquiring a broad understanding of market risk systems architecture sufficient to design DevOps solutions with limited support from Development Teams
Building & deploying DevOps solutions ranging from automating the service pipeline, app automation, implementing automated monitoring, and testing complex frameworks
Building & designing application architecture, environment setup, integrating with Dev tools/ Middleware/ 3rd party applications
Building & consuming API's & embedding configuration controls within services
Utilizing a DevOps pipeline to optimize our build quality and time-to-market
Building software to standards and of high quality and being responsible for testing of self and/ or peer-developed code
Collaborating with other interfacing teams to ensure successful end-to-end delivery
Assessing & designing new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project What we're looking for:
In-depth DevOps work experience in tools like TeamCity/ Jenkins
Proven experience in Release Automation using tools like Chef/ Nolio/ CA
Experience in integration of Dev Tools like SonarQube, Grafana (Monitoring Tool), etc.
Microsoft Technologies - Sql Server, .Net, C# Skills that will help you in the role:
Experience with scripting languages
Knowledge on AWS would be an added advantage
Previous experience in investment banking, preferably in a Market Risk environment although other financial services experiences will be considered Where will you be working?
