Platform Engineering Manager Remote / Leeds to £100k

Platform Engineering Manager / DevOps (AWS Jenkins Docker Terraform) *Remote*. Are you an experienced Platform / DevOps Engineer looking for an opportunity to step-up into an impactful and high responsibility position? You could be utilising your skillset within a Tech for Good company that have created a data centric SaaS platform used by thousands of schools across the UK to help their staff work more efficiently.

As a Platform Engineering Manager you'll work closely with the CTO and will take ownership of three engineering teams (12 employees in total) and the operations of the core SaaS platform. This is a highly impactful role that will require you to bring a strategic focus to the teams, look at performance management and introduce new ways of thinking. The platform is run on AWS and the teams work heavily with Docker and Terraform and have plans to move to Kuberenetes soon.

This role can be fully remote however, you will need to commute to the Leeds based office 1 day a month.

Requirements:

A Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer who is keen to step into a more senior position that will focus heavily on operations and strategic planning

Must have hands-on experience with DevOps tools and principles

Solid understanding of AWS services and Jenkins

Ability to bring new ideas and ways of thinking to the team and introduce positive changes to the way the teams work

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Desirable: Datadog, Prometheus
