Lead Data Engineer Remote / London to £100k

Lead Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Engineer (Python ETL Cloud) *Remote*. Successful start-up that creates cutting-edge, real-time infrastructure products for a range of global companies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to be the first data hire within their business. As a Lead Data Engineer your responsibilities will include; working closely with the engineering teams to gather and extract data from various sources, working to keep data synchronised between internal systems and SaaS products, ensuring that the data reaches data warehouses / lakes and monitoring the health of various data processing pipelines.

This can be a fully remote role, however you'll need to occasionally travel to the London based office for meetings and socials.

Requirements:

An experienced Data Engineer / Data Warehouse Engineer with previous leadership / mentoring experience or a senior looking to step up into a lead role

Very strong Python coding skills

Solid understanding of Data Warehouse and Data Lake concepts and designs

Experience with ETL pipelines and using modern ETL tools (or you've written and maintained your own)

Good knowledge of Cloud technologies

Degree educated in Computer Science, Mathematics or similar 2:1 or above

Excellent communication and collaboration skills
