As a Barclays Business Data Analyst, you will be responsible for managing Data Governance, Metadata, Data Quality and Data Lineage for the Private Bank and Barclays Payments. You will work closely with Data Domain owners and the business to understand their business strategies and help align the CDO delivery by ensuring that the Business has the trusted data necessary to underpin their strategy, driving the data strategy and ensure data compliance to standards and policy. What will you be doing?
Supporting the maintenance of robust / sustainable Data quality rules and lineage aligned to the Group Data Management Policy and Standards
Being responsible for liaising with the business and CDO to drive meaningful measurements of data, accurate reflection of lineage, compliant data fora and correct metadata
Taking ownership of remediating risks and issues risks identified as part of the Meta-data and Data Quality work streams related to the domains under management
Leading and facilitating monthly Data Governance Forums and ensure effective challenge from Data Governance Control Office team of inputs into materials 
Identifying and review material changes to Data Artefacts ensuring these follow standardised Barclays CB&P change management process
Providing effective and informed challenge of Data Artefacts population and maintenance
Promoting production of timely, accurate, and audit-ready communications, training, change management and Data Governance forums materials and minutes
Engaging and influence representatives across CB&P Programs and Functions, other Business Units and Group CDO to drive change management strategy What we're looking for:
Experience of data analysis concepts and experience in data management capabilities such as Data Lineage, Data Definitions, Data Quality Management and Data Quality Reporting 
Good understanding of Private Bank, Issuing or Acquiring Businesses, Payments Business or Connected Platforms domain knowledge or a combination of these
Working knowledge in Change Management, Project Management and functional experience in Data Analysis
Experience in shaping and driving scoping and prioritisation discussions where possible specifically in data elements or attributes based on criticality or materiality Skills that will help you in the role:
Prior experience in other data related capabilities including Data Architecture, Data Analytics, Data Modelling, Self-Assessment, Policy Assurance and Quality Assurance
Working knowledge of SQL queries and SQL driven data analysis
Reasonable understanding of tools and assets used within the industry to manage data quality and measures Where will you be working?
Northampton was the birthplace of Barclaycard in 1966 and we've been based in Pavilion Drive since the building opened in 1997. 
We purchased the building from the landlord in early 2018 as a sign of our commitment to investment in Northampton. Plans to further develop this Campus-style location are under way to allow for a real collaborative work environment.  Based just off the A45 it is easily accessible by both car and bus route.
