Backend Software Engineer London / Remote / WfH to £70k

Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C++ CI/CD CMake Linux) *Remote / WfH*. Are you a Backend Software Engineer with an interest in build and release, CI/CD and automation?

You could be progressing your career at a global visual effects company that have several Academy Awards.

As a Backend Software Engineer you will be responsible for build systems with a focus on enabling the developers and testers to excel by providing the support and tools that they require. You will design, develop and implement automated build, deployment and test pipelines and support the Continuous Integration system by automating builds, troubleshooting build failures and maintaining documentation as an integral part of the team.

You'll have the freedom to make your own decisions and will pick up new languages and technologies along the way with personalised learning and development plans.

There's a remote interview process and the ability to work from home full-time (with the caveat that you'll visit the London office in central London around once a month / quarter where you can enjoy a range of facilities and perks.

Requirements:

You have C++ development skills

You have a thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle

You have a good understanding of Continuous Integration CI/CD systems; CMake (or Make or QMake) and Jenkins

You have a good knowledge of Linux OS (ideally cross platform experience with Windows or Mac)

You're collaborative with good communication skills
