Working as a Senior DevOps Engineer you will play a key and pivotal role in the design and implementation of our client's products, applications, websites and tools.You will assist the Project Manager and Product Teams in turning project requirements into the appropriate technical tasks. You will collaborate with diverse teams to create and implement solutions for clients, and you will collaborate with Software Developers, Quality Assurance / Testing professionals, and other team members.You will also keep abreast of new developments across the IT industry, and you will function as a Champion for best practice within the DevOps area. You will promote better working practices and the adoption of tools that improve the efficiency and quality of development within the team.As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the design, implementation, configuration, and testing of large and complex product modules. You will also provide a mentoring role for peers and juniors within the team and across the company, actively seeking opportunities to share your knowledge and experience.About YouThe Senior DevOps Engineer is able to multitask, demonstrates flexibility, and is very analytical with the ability to deal with many different situations at a time. Whilst also being a self-learner with a proven history in the design, implementation and delivery of a number of large products or applications, you must also be;Graduate calibre, preferably with a formal qualification in a related discipline.Proven experience in administration in AWS Cloud services and / or Azure Cloud services.Proven experience with at least one CI tool set and Web Application support/debugging & management.Good understanding of database technologies in cloud environments.Experience of running production workloads in at least two cloud providers.Experience on providing third line systems and helpdesk style technical support to internal and/or external users.Ability to understand user requirements and translate into technical solutions.Scripting (PowerShell, python or similar).An understanding and exposure to at least one high level programming language.Varied Windows and Linux Operating Systems administration skills.Networking skills including LAN / WAN and Internet.The post holder may need to undertake on-call support duties.
