Java Software Engineers - Glasgow

You could be joining the Global leader and Emmy Award winner in personalized content discovery and viewer insight, serving 350 million viewers across 80+ customers worldwide including HBO, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom, Virgin Media and Channel 4. As a key member of the team in Glasgow, you'll contribute to the design, development, testing and deployment of solutions tailored to meet bespoke customer requirements. You'll collaborate with external customers and internal teams including development, operations, information science and testing. You'll follow best practices and pro-actively identify improvements in order to deliver consistently high quality and robust solutions.

2+ years practical experience of Java Software Development

A breadth of experience across the full development lifecycle

Excellent knowledge of core Java

Spring / Spring Boot

Microservices

SQL and RDBMS

Version control using Git

Experience in application design

Experience with automating processes

Desirable

Experience of using tools and systems such as;

Atlassian products e.g. JIRA, Bitbucket

CI/CD tools

NoSQL e.g. Cassandra

Kafka

Docker

Linux

AWS experience (if you have an AWS certification this is an advantage!)

Experience of working with local and remote teams
