What you will do as a Lead QA Tester:

 You will ensure OnBuy platforms and systems are fully operational, secure, and compliant. Assess software quality through manual and automated testing. Create suitable Test Plans and Test Cases to access new and future development output, find and report bugs and specification non-conformance. Manage and support the day-to-day activities of a team of QA Testers, setting priorities and ensuring quality of output.

You will also ensure established QA practices are followed and QA processes are adhered too and improved as needed. This is an exciting new role within our rapidly growing QA team, the successful candidate will play a significant part in shaping how QA delivers within the wider Development Team, helping to develop people, processes, and QA initiatives.

What we're looking for as a Lead QA Tester:

We are looking for an experienced Lead QA Tester to assess software quality through manual and in the future, automated testing. You will be responsible for identifying and reporting bugs and non-conformance to specification. You will be responsible for managing a team of QA Testers, ensuring quality of output and that deadlines are met. You will work with QA and Development leadership to improve testing processes, to enable efficient development output that meets quality expectations.

Collaborating with the QA Team to develop effective strategies and test plans

Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyse results

Evaluate deliverables according to specifications

Report bugs and issues to development teams

Help troubleshoot issues

Conduct Integration/Regression/post-release testing

Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle

Provide Root Cause Analysis and ensure findings are effectively communicated

Support the progression of more junior members of the QA team

You should apply as a Lead QA Tester if you have:

An excellent understanding of software quality assurance and QA best practices

Expert knowledge of web and API testing

5+ years' experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role

2+ years' experience in a Lead or Senior QA position

Proven leadership experience

A proven ability to lead, motivate and develop QA Testers

The ability to document and troubleshoot issues

Extensive knowledge of test management solutions

An analytical mind and problem-solving attitude

Strong organisational skills

ISTQB Foundation or higher

Experience testing eCommerce websites/platforms (Desirable)

Familiarity working within Agile Scrum

Mobile App testing experience
