What you will do as a Performance Tester:

You will work alongside our Scrum teams to aid in delivering the most effective and performant software possible. You will lead the building of processes and frameworks for a successful performance testing environment. Working alongside the developers and testers you will guide and specify the best techniques for testing applications for performance. You will plan requirements, analyse results, and conduct stress testing and load testing on dedicated hardware solutions and cloud.

On a day-to-day basis, we are looking for somebody to:

Work with Scrum teams to integrate performance testing into the Scrum workflow.

Prepare test plans, specifications, procedures, and controls to provide a structured approach to testing and the reports of testing outcomes

Creation of documentation and test scripts from technical specifications

Work with testing team colleagues on product testing processes

Plan and prepare rigorous, formal, visible, and repeatable tests

Conduct regression testing; load and stress testing; multiple platform testing; utilise defect tracking systems; and ensure re-testing occurs

Carry out sufficient resilience testing

Production of performance testing documentation

Identify and report system defects that are detected during the testing activity

To work collaboratively with devops team to specify what is needed to run all performance tests

To function independently and manage work from multiple streams to ensure each development stream are releasing products which are fit for purpose

What we are looking for as Performance Tester:

The successful candidate will need to have the following experience and skills:

3 years' experience of testing in a PHP and MySQL environment working within the full test life cycle preferably within an online retail business or Marketplace

Experience of automated test tools

Knowledge of established Performance Frameworks are essential to the role.

GIT Source Control Management, Jira and Confluence, or similar tools

-Reasonable amount of knowledge of web services and have server level performance monitoring skills

A self-starter who can introduce Performance Testing into a rapidly growing business
