Data Engineer - SparkLocation - London Rate - £467 - £650/dayStart date - ASAPContract - 6 Months +Our financial services client is currently seeking an experienced Data Engineer - Spark to join their team in the London office/remote working for an initial 6-month contract. Key SkillsMust haves are Big data, Hadoop HiveQL (uploading by Pentaho) and ETLMust be actual engineers/developers and not analysts and have 7-10 years in the software development world.Have commercial knowledge of Hadoop and not just academicNice to haves are Python/Scala/DevOps. UNIX and Shell ScriptingNot too bothered about industry, just got to have the key components. FS is a plusSpark is the key part to this - it can be linked with Python or another language (Java) - HiveQL and ETL.
