Dev Ops Engineer | Giki
Are you looking for a role where you'll be helping to cut carbon emissions? We're looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to do exactly that.
Giki is looking for a Dev Ops Engineer to work closely with our Product and Operations team to lead all aspects cloud infrastructure, deployment and planning.
You'll have at least 5 years experience as a Dev Ops Engineer working with cloud infrastructure running web or native apps but now ready for a job that combines technical challenges with purpose.

This is a UK based working from home position which can be part or full time depending on the responsibilities you take on.

Your responsibilities will include:
Working on ways to automate and improve our development and release process
Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results
Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats and working with our Operations team on external assurances
Working with our Product team to make sure we follow established processes and works as intended
Planning out how our infrastructure and processes need to change over time
Monitoring, incident response and incident management
As a fast growing sustainability start up we're looking for people who enjoy a wide ranging role and the following skills are essential:
At least 5 years experience in Dev Ops
Experience running apps or webs apps with one of the main cloud infrastructure providers
Knowledge of development, dev ops and monitoring tools
The following skills would be a bonus:
Experience with AWS
Previous use of CircleCI, GitHub, Datadog, Jira or similar tools
ISO 27001 certification and SOC knowledge
Managing internal IT systems (e.g. Office365)
Experience working with Ruby on Rail environment
Experience automating infrastructure changes using ansible / terraform
Salary depends on experience with a range of £50,000-£65,000 per annum. Equity in a mission led SaaS scale up is also available for the right candidate. There are other jobs out there but at Giki your sense of purpose will be complete!
