SNOMED CT has been chosen as the single clinical terminology of the NHS, and its adoption is one of the key informatic foundations needed ensure the amazing care providers in the NHS have the systems they need to deliver the best care. Reporting to the Principal SNOMED CT Implementation Specialist, and managing a team of 3 dedicated standards implementation analysts, the SNOMED CT Implementation Manager is responsible for both delivering, and contributing to, the direct support given to key stakeholders in the NHS, including care organisations, IT system suppliers, care related Government bodies and other NHS Digital programmes.    NHS Digital is the national digital, data and technology partner for the NHS and social care system. We design, build, deploy and operate national products, platforms and data services for patients, clinicians, those who manage the system and researchers in the NHS, academia and the life sciences sector. Our systems serve up to 53 million citizens and 1.3 million NHS staff. What's involved, top line

and apply.  More about the role You will be responsible for: Designing and delivering effective support to SNOMED CT implementers across the NHS. Reviewing and redesign approaches and strategies to meet the changing needs of key stakeholders. Leading on all stakeholder engagement activities, such as chairing the UK SNOMED CT Implementation Forum. Advising the UK SNOMED CT authoring team on the impact of content changes. Mentoring and developing a small team of specialists to ensure they realise their full potential. About you More about you Some of the skills and experience we're looking for: Practical SNOMED CT implementation experience gained working at a national level. Knowledge of managing IT systems implementations including elements such as change management, impact assessment or assurance. Able to deliver training to IT development specialists on effective utilisation of SNOMED CT in systems. Able to assimilate complex clinical and technical information and explain to other groups, regardless of background. A thorough understanding of the importance of information standards in clinical information systems and for interoperability. About us Our work matters.
