Design Engineer (Electrical Distribution Networks)

£35,000 - £43,000 + Bonus (15%) + Pension + Life Assurance + Training + Progression

Are you from an design engineering background with knowledge of construction/utility/electrical distribution networks /grid/substation design, looking to join an industry leading company in a stimulating and varied role?

On offer is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role and join a major player within the utilities industry that are renowned for developing and progressing ambitious candidates.

You will work closely with the Business Development Manager and Project Manager in providing applications engineering support to the tendering team, cost estimates for job proposals, as well as producing drawings

This role would suit an experienced Engineer with experience of utility/electrical distribution looking for a key role in Project Tendering and design for a successful growing business offering further career progression.

The Role:

- Working with the BDM and Project Manager provide tendering support for the development of a costed solution into the marketplace.

- Produce drawings to customer and DNO specification

- Produce cost estimates for job specific proposals

- Display suitable time and project management skills to effectively manage customer's expectations

The Person:

- You will have knowledge and experience of utility distribution (electrical/water/gas/fibre connections-all many of the above as possible)

- Experience using Auto-CAD

- Knowledgeable of current technical specifications such as G81, ENA ER standards, etc.
