I am currently working on an 2nd Line IT Engineer based in Liverpool, offering a highly varied role as part of a growing IT function, and help to develop inventory, plans, policies and procedures for Unified Communications across the business.Client DetailsMichael Page are delighted to be partnering with a highly successful Logistics business based in Liverpool.DescriptionKey Responsibilities:Develop inventory, plans, policies and procedures for UC use across the Business.Professional second line support for the businesses in respect of Unified Communication, requirements & issues.Ensure the company is making best use of existing UC investments, including providing training.To study and obtain the certification required for Unified Communications service excellence and compliance.Become experts and be the focal point for the businesses in respect of Communication requirements & issues.Maintain documentation and manage a schedule of unified communication services used by the Business, including but not limited to communications lines, telephony and video conference systems.Assist with planning of network solutions, including failover and failback.Optimise the use of existing networking, VoIP systems, help identify and promote new network / telephony technologies, applications, and other solutions where these would work to the business's commercial advantage.Assist with planning and managing the patching, upgrading, replacement, and testing of all the infrastructure and systems.Ensure compliance with IT/Communication/Security polices & procedures across the Business.Liaise with the other IT support departments, so that you become and remain familiar with the technical architecture and management controls. Including adhering to security advisements.Assist the ITC Service Desk to ensure SLAs and working practices are adhered to.For IT projects in the Business, collaborate with the Group IT Projects Manager and the Project Management Office. For other projects, assist the Head of IT Operations. ProfileKey Skills & Experience:Experience in the following: (WAN, Wireless, Telephony, Chat, email, IM, VC, VoIP)Strong Communication skillsStrong experience of 2nd Line supportBe able to work in a fast paced environment Be a quick learner Be adaptable to work on various different projects within ITJob OfferSalary £32,000 - £37,000
