Windows Server Engineer

Initial 5 Month Contract

to £550pd + 14.3% PAYE Uplift*

Remote OR Southampton

As a preferred and trusted recruitment partner to this global financial services group, we have been asked to assist in the hire of a contract IT Infrastructure Engineer to support the Infrastructure Server Team at a 3rd/4th line capacity during a large infrastructure estate transformation project.

Core Must Have Experience / Skills Required:

*Windows Server Operating Systems (2003 - 2019)

*VMware vSphere 6.x / 7.x

*VMware vCenter 6.x / 7.x

*Microsoft Active Directory

*Windows PowerShell

Additional Essential Experience / Skills Required:

*Enterprise Intel Hardware (Blade and Chassis, as well as rackmount devices)

*VMware vRealise Operations Manager

*Windows System Centre Suite (SCCM, SCOM, SCORCH)

*Windows Clustering

*VMware PowerCLi

*Incident, Problem and Change Management

*IT Security Controls

Desirable Experience / Skills

*Azure, IaC, AWS, Terraform, Globalscape

*VMware Site Recovery Manager

*Inside IR35 (PAYE Umbrella): This contract is Inside IR35, and you will need to contract via an Umbrella company on PAYE. The core day rate on offer is up to £550pd (you will pay Income Tax and Employees NI on this figure). On top of this core rate your umbrella will receive an additional 14.3% to cover Employers NI (13.8%) and the Apprenticeship Levy (0.5%). At a core day rate of £550pd, your umbrella would receive a total of £628.65pd.
