Opportunity to work for an international professional services companyInitiate and actively manage projects with strategic and commercial impactClient DetailsAn international professional services company.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Programme Manager include:Understanding the inflight and upcoming changes in project business requirements(s)Day to day management of the project(s)Being the voice of business into the project(s)Plan and design 'outcome focused' projects, monitoring progress against agreed parameters, identifying key risks, resolving issues and initiating timely corrective actionDefine the project's governance framework (including 'hooking' into portfolio / programme governance)Ensuring underlying workstreams are coordinatedResolving risks and issuesSupporting individuals on the project(s)Ensuring project integrity and coherenceMonitoring project(s) budget, monitoring expenditure etc.Help appoint additional staff into the project and underlying workstreams / activitiesLiaison with design authority / architecture teams / other IT teams / risk / dependent projects and product teams / suppliersEnsuring outputs meet requirements within time, quality, cost constraints (and timely escalation of risks if not)Ensuring efficiency of resourcesLiaise with 3rd parties / drafting workpackages as requiredIdentifying and initiating additional activities wherever gaps existRegular reporting to your sponsor and other governance forumsEffective stakeholder engagement (in liaison with sponsors)Effective handover to business operationsChampion Change Minimum StandardsActively support assurance activitiesProfileThe successful Programme Manage will:Guide and supervise less experienced colleagues / stakeholdersSupport, train, mentor and advise others in Operations PMOChallenge current practices - driving improvements and championing changeTake personal responsibility for own decision and actions and those of othersProject Planning (incl. dependency and capacity management)Project Delivery /Workpackage OversightStakeholder Engagement (incl. presentation skills)CommunicationsRisk ManagementDelivery and Governance FrameworksKey Knowledge:Extensive experience of change delivery approaches (e.g. Waterfall, Agile)OKR/Benefits trackingDeveloping and embedding 'right-sized' change delivery and governance (aligned to portfolio and programme governance) to suit the project and stakeholder needsService management concepts and frameworks an advantage (e.g. ITIL)Organisational governance structures and associated relationshipsUnderstanding the content of current and emerging portfolio of change and how it adds valueUnderstanding the corporate vision and strategy and the wider industryCorporate processes and procedures (e.g. Governance, Finance, HR, minimum standards) and associated language / cultureIdentifying and monitoring and developing appropriate remedial plans for key project performance (KPIs) and risk (KRIs) metrics.Experience of Workday HCM, Workday Finance or MSD CMS an advantageExperience of a professional services environment an advantageKey Skills:Balance competing needs and interestsBuilding consensusCoaching & Mentoring (asking powerful questions)CollaborationCommunication and PresentationConsultData assimilationExercising Professional JudgementInfluencing othersFacilitationManage ConflictObjective Setting (and providing feedback)Problem Solving / Creative ThinkingPrioritisationSystems ThinkingTime ManagementJob OfferA competitive salary and flexible working.
