A growing company based in Derbyshire who are an established and hugely successful in the Electronics & Electrical Manufacturing Industry have released an exciting new opening to recruit for an innovative, enthusiastic, and passionate Embedded Software Engineer to join the business on a permanent basis and to be developing and designing world class products with the use of cutting edge technologies.
The role:
As the Embedded Software Engineer, you will join a strong team who work closely together to solve problems and make world leading products. The Embedded Software Engineer will be responsible for a combination of tasks that includes developing embedded firmware based on product requirements and specifications.
Salary:
The salary on offer for successful Embedded Software Engineer is £30,000 - £50,000 per annum, depending on skillset & experience.
Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:
2-5 years minimum industry experienceEmbedded Software Programming in C or C++Embedded C is preferredHave a good understanding of developing for embedded platforms and environmentsAbility to develop, debug and test embedded systemsKnowledge and experience of PIC AssemblyExperience of reading electronic schematics and component datasheetsAbility to use test equipment - oscilloscopes, signal generators, multimeters etc.Great communication skills - Verbally & writtenGood analytical and problem solving skills
Desirable nice to have skillss:
Version Control - GIT, SVN, Jira, Mercurial or similarReal time operating systems experienceA working knowledge of Linux on embedded platforms would be an advantageNetwork interface - I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, TCPI/IP, EthernetExperience of Hardware Design - Analogue/Digital Circuit Design & PCB DesignExperience of Altium Designer or similar - Advantageous
