The Platforms and Infrastructure Manager plays a pivotal role in the continued delivery of a world class portfolio of live web services and supporting user-centred developments to adapt to an ever-changing digital space.

As our Platforms and Infrastructure Manager your role will include:

Supporting a suite of essential live web services

Setting the strategic direction of services, understanding user needs and working with architects to provide solutions

Delivering new live web services and products

Developing and managing key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally with our users and commissioners

Leading and managing two technical teams consisting of Infrastructure Engineers and DBAs

Liaising with 3rd party providers

Budget and resource management

Supporting the on-call out of hours rota, resolving urgent system issues and outages and managing deployment of updates and new services

About you

Some of the key skills and experience you'll bring: 

Experience managing, developing and deploying enterprise level cloud based live web services on Azure platform

DevSecOps skills and experience

A strong understanding of web service architecture and design

Owning and developing senior level stakeholder relationships

Reporting and updating progress, anticipating challenges and potential risks/blockers, providing robust and effective solutions

Leading and managing effective teams, building a culture of collaboration and continual improvement

Managing and working with 3rd party suppliers

Effective resource planning and management

Experience managing significant budgets

Excellent communication skills, comfortable discussing complex technical subjects with non-technical audiences

This role can be based from any of our offices in Leeds, London, Exeter or Southport and has duplicate adverts under reference 35, 917, 918 and 919.  You only need to apply to a single advert to be considered for any location.
