The Cloud Division, as part of Digital Services and Technology directorate (DST), delivers complex products and services that are being delivered to multiple teams or have high technical or political risk.

We are looking for an experienced Automation Technical Architect with proven experience to come and join our team. You will get the opportunity to work across multi-disciplinary teams within DST and play a pivotal role within the business. Working within the Cloud division you'll thrive using agile methods and enjoy working openly and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams. You will inspire people to deliver your technical vision.

We are looking for a candidate with skills in business process management (BPM-specifically IBM business automation workflow) and robotic process automation (RPA) alongside a passion for automation, process improvement and improving ways of working. You will bring analytical thinking, natural curiosity, enthusiasm and a desire to make people's work easier.

As part of a mixed discipline team you will focus on projects utilising workflow and automation tools make business process improvements.

Tools: Help us use IBM Business Automation Workflow (BAW) as a Service for our Business Process Management (BPM) capability and IBM RPA for our Robotic Process Automation (RPA) capability.
You will get to shape the future of this toolset and it's use.

Team: Work with a team in our Automation Centre of Excellence which includes Automation Engineers, Business Analysts and Security Architects who are delivering in a DevSecOps manner.

Integrate: Work with and link up a wide range of systems from different providers hosted in different places using many interconnect techniques.

Standards: Develop and help maintain clear standards and working practices in your team, division, directorate, ONS and collaboratively across government.
