Storage Engineer London to £100k

Storage Engineer / Server Engineer (SAN NAS Cloud IaC Automation). Opportunity to progress your career at the world's largest FinTech and work on complex, technically challenging systems, with continual learning opportunities within a supportive and diverse environment.

As a Storage Engineer you will be designing, deploying and supporting world-class server / storage solutions which meet the performance, scalability and availability requirements of a large-scale, multi-site business. You'll collaborate with software engineering teams to provide the solutions that they need, working with cutting edge technology and will get involved with a Greenfield proprietary Cloud platform. Utilising your knowledge of IaC and automation you'll seek to make improvements to current systems, manage system / server upgrades and work collaboratively to solve complex problems.

There's a remote interview and onboarding process; following this you'll be based in an award winning office space with amazing views of the City, open plan desk space, breakout areas, quiet areas and a range of onsite facilities such as a free fully stocked food hall area; there's also flexibility to work from 1-2 days a week.

Requirements:

You're a Storage / Server Engineer with experience of designing, deploying and supporting world class storage / server systems

You have a strong understanding of filesystems, block storage, SAN and NAS storage platforms, protocols and SAN Fabric including a solid understanding of data protection solutions in a multi-site deployment

You have experience with server hardware across vendors and have a good understanding of hypervisors and their management systems

You have a strong knowledge of Cloud based architectures

You have a strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems and a good understanding of core technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, networking and protocols

You're able to script with PowerShell or Python for automation and tool creation

You're collaborative with great communication skills
