My client is looking for Service introduction and in life support Manager for an initial 12 month contract inside of IR35.

The role is to lead on service introduction and support transition of Making Finance Brilliant programme phases to effective business as usual management by the business and it's third party service providers. The role will sit in our Programmes central PMO team working as part of a multidisciplinary core team (process, data, org design, systems, change and communications) which is implementing a simplified and standardised landscape across the Group Finance function.

The role is important because the programme replaces a large part of our old Finance systems across the BT Group. This transformation includes the implementation of an SAP/Hana platform. In order to move from our old systems to new, we need BT people to support the programme deliverables and adopt the change to move to a more simple and standard way of working in finance. In order for the programme to step away from managing systems and processes that they have created BT requires its process, data and digital teams to move phases of the programme to a business as usual (BAU) operational state, so the enduring model can persist without programme support.

The scope of the role is to lead on planning the end to end transition of MFB phases into BAU at the end of hypercare. This includes ensuring that all process, system and data maintenance practices are identified and accepted by the BT business and that the programme plans an effective handover of management of specific processes into BAU.

Activities as part of the role will include engaging BAU stakeholders across the BT group and supporting the process and other matrix team to deliver into BAU. You will need to be flexible, hands on and have good stakeholder engagement skills to help get the BT business ready to use our new systems and processes. You will have experience of service introduction planning and criteria for acceptance into service as well as managing accept into service on large transformation programmes.

You will be supported by an experienced Hypercare team and Delivery leads, you will need to develop business partnerships to ensure effective handover of the programme deliverables into BAU is apriority. You'll need to be able to think ahead, pre-empt requirements for key meetings, and drive the preparation for these. You'll also hold the pen on internal project meetings.

This role requires a hands-on business focus to managing and delivering the MFB project into a BAU state. Senior stakeholder engagement will be required in the programme and with the business.
