My client is looking for a Senior Planning Lead inside of IR35 on an initial 12 month contract with the potential to extend.

The role is important because the programme replaces a large part of our old finance systems across the Business. This transformation includes the implementation of an SAP/Hana platform. In order to move from our old systems to new, we need to bring together, plan and coordinate efforts of people, and third parties to support the programme deliverables and adopt the change to move to a more simple and standard way of working in finance.

The scope of the role is to be the integrated programme plan owner on behalf of the customers business. This specific role will focus on consolidating the programme plan from the multiple project plans and managing any resource conflicts between phases of the programme. Once plans are in delivery the role holder will manage programme level risks and issues to the plan and communicate these to the programme governance alongside key dependencies and risks.

Activities as part of the role will include engaging stakeholders and leading on the plan production and governance and reporting process. Leading on planning of new roadmap items and ensuring coherence and integration on messaging from delivery leads. You will need to be flexible, hands on and have good stakeholder engagement skills to help get the BT business delivering with transparency of plans and progress and clear accountability across the group.

You will be supported by an experienced delivery lead, you will need to develop business and programme lead partnerships to ensure coherent delivery is the priority. You'll need to be able to think ahead, pre-empt requirements for key meetings, and drive the preparation for these. You'll also hold the pen on internal project and programme meetings.

This role requires a hands-on business focus to managing and delivering the MFB programme. Senior stakeholder engagement will be required in the programme and with the business.

What I'll be doing - your accountabilities Skills required for the job

* Lead on planning and plan integration across the programme.

* Manage and report on programme level risks, issues and dependencies effectively to inform the leadership.

* Building and maintaining strong relationships with Programme delivery leads and SMEs as applicable to ensure correct and accurate reporting to the programme stakeholders.

* Championing the planning and reporting activity by driving best practice and consistency

* Providing ad hoc insight on progress to the leadership actively troubleshooting where we need more focus to deliver.

* Strong planning skills managing transformation portfolios and/or large programmes

* Ability to build relationships and work with large functional and matrix teams, working on different phases in different locations

* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
