The Strategic Operational Systems Lead will work collaboratively with the Strategic Business Analyst Lead, with both roles reporting to the Solutions Architect within the team.Client DetailsGovernment administration part of the Civil Service.DescriptionThe Strategic Operational Systems Lead role is responsible for trouble-shooting incidents affecting operational systems ("business as usual") and managing change activity affecting the architectural IT configuration across SC&L IT systems environment, including plan, design, build, test, deploy and maintain (key components include testing of releases, regression testing and business continuity planning). ResponsibilitiesBring to bear your crisis/critical incident management experience and your project development and delivery experience obtained in a fast paced environment to help deliver solutions design (such as: ERP, Cloud solutions, integration platforms and/or data/intelligence platforms) with the DHSC digital solutions design and delivery teams.Have proven experience of rapid delivery of solutions in a fast moving, dynamic and rapidly growing businesses. Ideally using agile delivery models.Be results driven, demonstrating tenacity, energy, and perseverance, with the ability to deliver in a complex, highly demanding and fast changing environment.Have experience in managing a variety of internal and external business and stakeholders, clearly articulating complex concepts in an efficient manner.Have experience in using analytical skills to lead and provide support to technical teams, actively developing and supporting members to deliver results.Have experience of delivering projects/systems in parallel. Identifying and managing critical dependencies within a dual pace delivery model.Have experience in change management and change implementation.Be able to investigate and establish gaps in systems and processes.Be able to deliver results under pressure with high levels of responsibility, whilst responding constructively to challenging new ideas.Be an effective communicator with the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.ProfileEssential CriteriaDegree or an equivalent degree-level professional qualification - must have a large analytical component;Supply Chain/logistics experience gained in a fast moving and evolving landscape;Understanding of end-to-end supply chain management, operations and/or logistics.Desirable criteriaPRINCE2 or MSP or equivalent and deployment of both Waterfall and Agile approaches, or the ability to achieve within 6 months of joining.Experience in Oracle ERP supply chain implementationQualificationsDegree or an equivalent degree-level professional qualification - must have a large analytical component.SecuritySuccessful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check.People working with government assets must complete basic personnel security standard checks.Job Offer6 month inside IR35 contract paying £400 p/day.
